Your responsibilities 

As a Trainee Estimator/Quantity Surveyor, you will work as part of the Preconstruction team and undertake a variety of tasks that play an important role in the effective running of the department.  Your duties will include the following: 

  • Working together with surveying/estimating team preparing tenders for sub-contractors and ensuring they are returned on time.
  • Working to maintain the administration of a busy estimating team and supporting team members.
  • Liaising with the estimating team members, sub-contractors and suppliers and assisting in the preparation of tender bids. 
  • Controlling incoming drawings and plans including drawing registers. 
  • Visiting sites when required. 
  • Dealing with electronic tender and contract documentation and other electronic communications as part of tender and bid production. 
  • Liaising with and assisting as necessary other Company employees and management. 

Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the company. 

Training & Development 

You will study externally part-time towards a recognised construction related qualification on an apprenticeship or development pathway. 

All necessary internal training and mentorship will be provided to support your role.
